Upon foreseeing the promising prospect of power electronics in the
future of Turkish industry, EKA Electronic Control Devices Ltd. was
founded in 1975 with the aim of designing and producing automation
control devices. In 1977, EKA was recertified as a limited company,
and manufactured the first uninterruptible power supplies in Turkey
so as to meet the demands of its customers. The brand “EKA” has since
then been identified with the concepts of “safety, neatness and clean
energy” as a result of EKA’s devotion to and specialization in power
electronics.
EKA operates as a partner with such companies as Liebert Hiross and
Newave UPS Systems, SEC Industrial Battery Company, Raycap Corporation
and Lambda Electronics, and Emerson Network Power in trouble shooting
projects. Combining such joint projects with the acumen and expertise
it has accumulated along with the Research-Development investments,
EKA today offers not only individual and industrial solutions, but
also complete services especially in such fields as power electronics
in defence industry and telecommunications. Moreover, EKA also operates
at both national and international levels in home appliances sector
with the investments it has made in the manufacturing of “Electronic
Card”.
Powerful know-how culture
With the solid principle of attaining the highest quality in production
and services since its foundation, EKA’s endeavor has been based on
a powerful know-how culture and concept. EKA has cooperated with global
giants in their sector such as Westinghouse, Emerson (Liebert), Danfoss,
IRM, Johnson Controls, Cegelec. EKA augmented its expertise in power
electronics upon signing a licence contract with Westinghouse regarding
the production of variable frequency drives, and offered this product
to the industrial market. In addition, EKA has signed contracts to
engage in technological cooperation with such well-known companies
as SMA(Germany), Thomson (France) and Eurocopter (France).homson (Fransa)

Custom-made solutions
EKA produces solutions towards specific requirements of the customer
in power electronics by combining its experience in the sector, engineering
expertise and its approach marked by extensive research and focus
on the best solution.
These specific requirements, since they cannot be met with existing
standard products, are special designs that entail Research-Development
study, and they are produced in specified numbers according to certain
product descriptions determined by each individual customer.
EKA is a hallmark today, as it has launched many products and received
a number of national and international rewards for upgrading technologies.
